What is a Centrifugal Air Mover?
Centrifugal air movers, (sometimes referred to as blowers, snail fans or carpet dryers), are optimal for drying applications and are commonly used by professionals in the water damage restoration industry.
They can be used to blow away dust during demolition or speed up drying times for drywall and paint jobs - expediating all those processes that always eat up your time.
This kind of air mover creates a highly focused airflow by routing the air through a series of ducts, dampers and other components. The inside looks like a hamster wheel, that's why these fans are sometimes called squirrel cages.
Compared to an axial fan, that moves air without any particular sense of direction, the centrifugal fan will provide a highly focused airstream that can be directed towards floors, carpets, walls, ceilings or wherever else you'd want the airflow to go!
